Getting started
Signing in
Open the Skeyeform URL your administrator gave you and sign in with your email and password. If self-registration is enabled you can create an account from the Register link; otherwise an administrator creates it for you.
Skeyeform also supports two-factor authentication — see Settings.
Teams
Everything in Skeyeform belongs to a team: forms, projects, ER diagrams, and the data collected. The team you're working in appears in the URL, and switching teams switches your whole workspace.
Every user gets a personal team when their account is created, and you can belong to as many teams as you're invited to.
Adding people
From your team settings you can:
- Search and add members who already have a Skeyeform account
- Invite people by email — they receive an invitation link to accept
- Change a member's role, or remove them
Roles and permissions
Skeyeform uses four roles, in descending order of power. Each role is a bundle of granular permissions, so what a person sees in the sidebar matches what they're allowed to do.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including deleting the team and removing or changing members |
| Admin | Update the team, add members and manage invitations, and everything a Modeler can do |
| Modeler | Manage, configure, design and assign forms; manage diagrams and projects; view data |
| User | View data only |
Behind the roles sit individual permissions such as form:manage, form:design, form:configure,
form:assign, diagram:manage, project:manage, data:view, and the team and membership
permissions. You don't set these one by one — choosing a role grants the right set.
Being able to view data isn't the same as seeing every form. Assigning users to a form controls who sees it in the Data, Spreadsheet, and Excel sections — see Assignments.
The dashboard
Signing in lands you on the team dashboard, which gives you:
- KPI cards summarising your team's activity at a glance
- Quick actions, shown according to your role
- Paginated tables for team members, submissions by form, and recent submissions
- An Activity tab (Admin and above) — the audit log of who did what; see Administration
