Once a source is connected, Fahras pulls in its structure so you can document and enrich it collaboratively.

Retrieve the data structure​

Fahras automatically retrieves, from each source:

  • Schemas — the databases and schemas exposed by the source
  • Tables — every table within those schemas
  • Elementary attributes — the columns of each table, with their data types

Each level can be described and enriched by your team, building a shared understanding of what the data actually means.

Annotate collaboratively​

Attributes can be enriched with descriptions, tags, and glossary terms. This is where governance becomes concrete — for example, you can classify each attribute as:

  • Public — no restriction
  • Personal — personal data
  • Sensitive — sensitive data requiring special handling

Because annotation is collaborative, data owners, stewards, and analysts all contribute to keeping the catalog accurate.

Master & Reference data​

Consistent classification lets you methodically identify and treat Master data and Reference data, and to tag sensitive or personal data so it can be handled according to your policies.

The result is a permanent, continuously enriched inventory that reflects the real state and extent of your data asset.
