The governance framework
DGHelper operationalizes MajestEYE's data-governance framework by giving each part of it a place to live and a concrete piece of evidence to point to.
The model
The framework is organized as a hierarchy, from broad areas of governance down to precise requirements:
- Domains — the major areas of data governance being addressed
- Dimensions — the aspects of governance within each domain
- Controls — the checks and safeguards that enforce each dimension
- Specifications — the precise requirements that define what "good" looks like for a control
Artifacts
The key idea is that every element of the framework — each domain, dimension, control, and specification — can be attached to an artifact: a document, policy, screenshot, procedure, or any other concrete piece of evidence that shows how governance is actually applied.
By linking artifacts to the framework, DGHelper lets the CDO:
- Centralize governance evidence as the program advances
- Track progress on reinforcing the governance dispositif over time
- Teach teams how the framework maps to real, day-to-day practice
The result is a living, operational view of data governance — not a static document, but a framework your organization can grow into.
